Campfire desserts usually seem to be limited to s’mores and banana boats. There’s nothing wrong with s’mores of course, but if your only idea of campfire dessert is limited to smooshing marshmallows between graham crackers, it might be time to broaden your horizons! With a few simple ingredients and a stick or some foil or hollowed‑out fruit, you can whip up some delicious treats under the stars.

1. Campfire Cinnamon Roll-Ups

Like cinnamon buns on a stick! Wrap store-bought crescent dough around a skewer, roll it in cinnamon sugar, and toast over the fire until perfect. It’s hands-on, fun for kids, and a nice change from the usual marshmallow-stuffed campfire fare.
2. Ritzy S’mores Skewers

This salty-sweet campfire treat from The Kitchen layers peanut butter, banana, and buttery Ritz crackers with a chocolate chip–stuffed marshmallow. Everything toasts together over the fire for a crispy, gooey bite that hits every craving at once, delicious melty chocolate and all!
3. Campfire Cinnamon Rolls

Soft, yeasty, and smoky cinnamon rolls on a stick? That’s my idea of perfection! You can use store-bought cinnamon roll dough, so all you have to do is toast them over the fire until they’re perfect.
4. Campfire Strawberries

I love this idea—it’s so simple and yet completely magical! Just dip fresh strawberries in marshmallow fluff, roast over the fire, and enjoy.
5. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Skewers

Grilled pineapple, cherries, and cubes of pound cake all stacked on a skewer—this is pineapple upside down cake, but way more fun. You can prep them ahead and toss them on the grill or toast them over the fire when you’re ready for dessert.
6. Campfire Apple Pie Packets

You’ll never need to go pie-less when camping ever again. Just slice some apples, sprinkle with cinnamon, wrap in foil, and toss them in the coals. Warm, gooey, and cinnamon-y with no fuss or dishes. Perfection.
7. Cinnamon Monkey Bread Foil Packets

This is dough, cinnamon sugar, and fire — that’s it. Unless you want to get extra fancy and drizzle on some simple glaze after it’s done.
8. Foil Pack Peach Cobbler

This campfire peach cobbler uses canned biscuit dough for a quick and easy dessert that’s all about warm, juicy peaches and a crunchy topping. The perfect way to enjoy summery flavours while you’re not really roughing it.
9. Campfire-Grilled Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Using a store-bought pound cake makes it a piece of cake (sorry) to make this dessert while you’re camping. Grill the pineapple until it’s perfectly caramelized, then let the heat of the campfire transform the cake into a gooey, sweet, and slightly smoky dessert that’ll make your camping trip unforgettable.
10. Rhubarb Strawberry Parfaits

These foil packet parfaits layer campfire-grilled rhubarb (or any fruit you like) with whipped cream and toasted angel food cake for a delicious treat that will instantly level up your camping trip.
11. Campfire Cones

Think s’mores, but not as messy and way easier to customize. Stuff waffle cones with chocolate, marshmallows, and whatever other fruit or treats you’ve got on hand, then toat them up over the fire or grill until they’re perfectly melty.
12. Campfire Baked Apples

Apples get hollowed out then filled with brown sugar, oats, and butter, and cooked right in the campfire coals. A simple and comforting dessert that’s easy to make while camping.
